Hoven Droven
Hoven Droven is undoubtedly one of the most important bands in Nordic folk rock. Since 1991, they have taken an international audience by storm, and have opened the ears of countless people to folk music.
The group has released a total of 9 recorded albums, both live and studio recordings. They released their latest album "trad" in 2021.
The group consists of;

Northern Nights
Northern Nights 3. Is a collaboration between Irish and Norwegian folk musicians. from the north and west of Ireland come the four musicians Bríd Harper, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, Becky Ní Éallaithe and Cathal Ó Curráin.
In addition, four fantastic musicians from Norway will be performing; Unni Boksasp, Astrid Garmo, Magnus Wiik and Lars Erik Øygarden.

Hekate
Hekate is a vocal trio consisting of Malin Alander, Silje Risdal Liahagen and Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen, three singers who have all distinguished themselves as solo artists on the Norwegian music scene.
Now they have joined forces to take traditional dance music on a new course with uncompromising folksinging in a club setting. With material from all over the country as a starting point, they take folk music in new directions through improvisation, powerful sounds and fierce stomping. The goal is that the audience has no chance to stand still when they get going.

John Ole Morken
John Ole Morken comes from Ålen. He is a fiddle player, musician, writer and program host. Rørospols is his favourite subject and he has made records, books and sheet music with music from his home region.
He writes for several magazines focusing on historical articles about folk music and local history. He also frequently gives courses where he teaches music from the diverse traditions of the distinctive Røros Polsen.
John Ole also teaches at the Norwegian Academy of Music. In recent years he has been on NRK P2 as a regular presenter of Norway's longest-running radio program; Folkemusikktimen.

Taktlaus
TAKTLAUS consists of the actors, musicians and dancers Signe Dorthea Krohn Gjessing and Lisa Luni Thun. The company combines folk music and folk dance with interactive theatre, storytelling traditions and, not least, shows that engages the audience.
In addition to creating entertaining theater for the little ones, the company TAKLTAUS find it important to pass on tradition and cultural heritage, both when it comes to stories, but also music
and dance. Both performers in the company have a background in folk music and folk dance.

Westberg and the polsgroovers started in 2025. The group consists of musicians with long and solid experience from various musical contexts.
With Tron Steffen Westberg in the front, together with Ole Erik Feragen (fiddle), Per Ivar Tamnes (guitar) and Håvard Dahl (drums), the band delivers raw and uncomplicated folk music with deep roots in the Røros countryside.

Ingrid Viksmo
Westberg and the polsgroovers started in 2025. The group consists of musicians with long and solid experience from various musical contexts.

Måssåpolslaget
Måssåpolslaget is a group with some of the Røros region's most enthusiastic pols players. With Tron Steffen Westberg at the front, he brings with him, among others, members from both the Glåmos and Brekken spellmannslag.
MåssåpolsLaget has played several times at Riksscena in Oslo to a sweaty, dancing audience.

Bergitte Kjosvatn & Tron Westberg
Bergitte Kjosvatn is a skilled dancer who performs and promotes folk dance, and works a lot with dance recruitment in Røros. Tron Westberg is one of the country's best folk music performers on the fiddle, and also a very skilled dancer. Together they have contributed to an increased recruitment of young people to the folk dance community in Røros.

Alf Hulbækmo
Alf Hulbækmo is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Tolga, living in Røros. He works as an organist in Røros Church.
He works mostly project-based, the largest of which was "Skumringsbarda", composed for the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and premiered in Molde Cathedral in the summer of 2021, a project that is planned to be released in 2025. He has also written commissioned works for, among others, Nidaros Cathedral Choir, Chamber Choir Aurum, Røros folk festival and vinterfestispill in Bergstaden.

Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen
Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen from Folldal has quickly become one of the most sought-after young folk musicians in Norway. She is a folk musician and singer, and holds a master's degree in performing folk music from the Norwegian Academy of Music.
She has been nominated for the "Spellemannpris" twice for her solo albums, and she also received the Folkelarmprisen for best solo album in 2022. In recent years, she has toured extensively both in Norway and abroad, and is currently a member of the experimental vocal trio HEKATE, and as a soloist with orchestras, choirs and ensembles. As a folk singer, she has worked mostly with traditional music from Folldal, Østerdalen and Trøndelag.
Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen has received a number of awards and prizes in recent years. In 2024 she received the "kongepokal" at the National folkmusic Competition in Gol.

Ingvild Yrke Hulbækmo
Ingvild Yrke Hulbækmo has sung in small and large ensembles, but is also a soloist. She is one of four singers in the "RAST" vocal group, has sung in the Women's Student Singing Association and the Nidaros Cathedral Choir, and
She has done extensive recording work for the Church of Norway's digital hymn database with cantor David Scott Hamnes. She currently works as a parish educator in Røros.
