Northern Nights is a collaborative project consisting of some of the most exciting folk musicians from Ireland and Norway. Through an artist residency program in Rauland, they have learned from and inspired each other, which has resulted in a fantastic collaboration.

From Ireland come the four musicians Bríd Harper (fiddle), Ciarán Ó Maonaigh (fiddle), Becky Ní Éallaithe (concertina) and Cathal Ó Curráin (bouzouki/fiddle/vocals).

In addition, four fantastic musicians from Norway will be performing; Unni Boksasp (vocals), Astrid Garmo (Hardanger fiddle), Magnus Wiik (guitar) and Lars Erik Øygarden (hardanger fiddle).

Westberg and the Polsgroovers started in 2025. The group consists of musicians with long and solid experience from various musical contexts.

With Tron Westberg in the front, together with Ole Erik Feragen (fiddle), Per Ivar Tamnes (guitar) and Håvard Dahl (drums), the band delivers raw and uncomplicated folk music with deep roots in the Røros-region.

And fear not; it will be possible to dance!

Hekate

Hekate is a vocal trio consisting of Malin Alander, Silje Risdal Liahagen and Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen, three singers who have all distinguished themselves as solo artists on the Norwegian music scene.

Now they have joined forces to take traditional dance music on a new course with uncompromising folksinging in a club setting.

Using folkmusic from all over the country as a starting point, they take folk music in new directions through improvisation, powerful sounds and fierce stomping. The goal is that the audience has no chance to sit still when they get going.
